I’m Jaco and I’ll be your wine teacher and host – I got your back when it comes to wine.
So why am I your wine guy? Well… I enjoy wine just as much as the next person, with one difference; I have a bachelor’s degree in Oenology and Viticulture. Which is the study of the winemaking process in all aspects; from ground to grape to wine in your glass.
I’ve worked at the International renowned Asara Wine Estate with winemaker Jan van Rooyen. Our team was part of the initial shift in South Africa to produce white wines from red grapes. Since then I have made wine in France, Northern California and will be making wine this year in South Africa & Los Angeles.
Along with making wine in Los Angeles, I’ll be taking on the adventure of starting a winery addition at a brewery. Yes, I also drink beer, brandy and gin at times.
As the founder and host of “The Grape Escape TV” I love to combine teaching with traveling; showing you places you didn’t even know a grape can grow. Blending education and entertainment together to make wine taste better than you ever thought possible.

If you wish to request a refund for your enrollment in One Weekend To Wine Wisdom, please understand that you are agreeing to the following conditions at the time of our purchase.
To be eligible for a refund, you must submit your request via email to jaco@grapeunknown.com before 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time on the 14th day following your purchase. Accompanying your request should be proof of effort, meaning evidence that you attempted the work in the course to achieve the promised results. This proof will be reviewed, and an attempt to help correct the issue will be sought first. If I cannot help solve the issue, a prompt full refund will be issued. However, this is also dependent on the proof of work being found substantial enough to warrant the refund. Negligible effort is not satisfactory.
However, after you submit your materials, please be aware that all refunds are discretionary. The point of this policy is to give people the chance to try the system taught in One Weekend To Wine Wisdom, and if results are not achieved, they can get their money back.
